| Keith Christopher | | Keith Christopher is actively involved in music as a composer, arranger, orchestrator, and educator, and has served as editor and producer for several major publishers. His musical roots go back to Wylie, Texas, where he grew up playing trumpet in band and singing in church youth choir. After high school, he studied theory/composition and conducting in college and continued to be involved in church music. He holds an M.M. in Composition from Southern Methodist University where he studied composition with Simon Sargon and was a Graduate Assistant in the theory and choral music departments. He has produced hundreds of recordings and music products for leading music publishers.
Mr. Christopher has a wide variety of choral and instrumental pieces in the catalogs of a variety of publishers. Since 1992, he has received a yearly award for his publications from the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers. In 1999 he received the famed "Gold Record Award for "A Merry Christmas with Brass which he produced for Word featuring the Dallas Brass. He was a 2003 recipient of the coveted Dove Award for a choral collection. | | |
