All convention attendees—both delegates and visitors—are welcome in the workshops, plenary meetings, and the Thursday evening NMI service. The plenary meetings and the evening service will take place in the RCA Dome. The majority of other meetings are planned for the Convention Center and the Marriott Hotel.
Numerous topics will be covered in the workshops on Wednesday afternoon. Everyone is invited to attend. A list of workshop titles and descriptions is available on the NMI Web site: www.nazarenemissions.org/generalconvention.
NMI plans an inspirational evening service for Thursday, featuring international music, the March of the Nations with its colorful flags, and a theme presentation. The floor of the RCA Dome will be reserved for youth, and General NMI Director Nina Gunter will issue a challenge for the quadrennium, including a special appeal to youth for ministry.
On Friday night, NMI and Children's Ministries will partner in the “Kidz Passport to Missions," an event geared for children grades 1-6, with crafts, games, puppets, giveaways, and more.
The prayer room will be open to all for times of intercession.
The NMI exhibit will be an interactive experience in which attendees will learn “we are all a part of the story." Storytellers will keep children and adults guessing what will happen next, and there will be an opportunity for attendees to learn, touch, and give in the exhibit.
“Everyone
will find something at the General NMI Convention to engage his or her
interest," says Gunter. “Join the thousands who make up the story of
Nazarene missions. You will be blessed as you sense the connection
between your participation in missions and the lives that are being
changed."
