West Virginia South's Morris receives Quadrennial Award

General Superintendent Jesse C. Middendorf opened the Children's Ministries' Leadership Breakfast Friday morning with prayer and affirmation for the role of ministry with children in the church. David Graves, Sunday School Ministries director, brought challenging words to “Make the Connection with Children."
Children's Ministries awarded the first Children's Ministries District Director of the Quadrennium to James A. Morris. Morris has served as Children's Ministries director of the West Virginia South District for 22 years. Jim and his wife, Cherry, faithfully serve together in various aspects of children's ministries including child evangelism, Vacation Bible School, and district children's camps. They have been involved in children's quizzing on the local, regional, and national levels.
According to John Prichard, West Virginia South District Sunday School Ministries chair, “Jim is a positive role model for children, an excellent and enthusiastic worker with adults, expressing the love of Christ in his work ethics and in his attitude toward his various responsibilities."
“It is an honor to recognize the diligence and commitment of such a distinguished leader," stated Lynda T. Boardman, director of Children's Ministries.
