NCN News correspondent JoAnn Leslie was rushed to the hospital last week for emergency surgery on her spleen, which was enlarged by 20 centimeters and contained a 13-centimeter sized cyst. Considering the normal spleen is seven centimeters, major surgery was required. After a specialist arrived to perform the surgery and inform JoAnn of the procedure, he warned of a recovery time that would include a stay in the intensive care unit and a probable blood transfusion. Miraculously, as the procedure was performed just as her situation was worsening, JoAnn emerged from surgery just fine, not requiring any stay in ICU or blood and was released from the hospital just days later.
“It was the hundreds of prayers going up worldwide and God's awesome hand that saved me," she said later.
JoAnn has informed NCN News that she will resume reporting news of God's work in the SAM region just as soon as she's fully recovered.
Take your time, JoAnn, and get well soon!
