| Kenneth Varner is Organist/Music Associate at Boulevard Baptist Church in Anderson, South Carolina. He previously served in music ministry assignments at First Baptist Church in Simpsonville, South Carolina, Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee, First Baptist Church in Orlando, Florida, and First Baptist Church in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He has also had fifteen years of experience in elementary education. Recognized both nationally and internationally as an outstanding accompanist and organ soloist, Ken has served in numerous state and national leadership capacities. He earned a Bachelor of Music in Organ Performance from Furman University, Greenville, South Carolina, a Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of South Carolina, and has done his graduate work at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. Ken has published several organ books with Lillenas, and has also collaborated with pianist Marilynn Ham in publishing a piano-duet collection for Lillenas. He and his wife, Sharon, have three children and three grandchildren. |
