The national flag of Argentina is a triband, composed of three equally wide horizontal bands colored light blue, white, and light blue. There are multiple interpretations on the reasons for those colors. The flag was created by Manuel Belgrano and first flown in 1812 during the Argentine War of Independence. In 1818, a yellow Sun of May was added to the center.

Flags of the Nations: Argentina
Global Ministry Center
Since September 1, 2009, the Church of the Nazarene's Global Ministry Center (GMC) proudly flies a flag each week of one of the many nations in which the denomination is present in ministry. Leaders were invited to send a national flag to be flown at the GMC alongside the flag of the United States*. The national flags rotate weekly, and photos of them raised are sent to the church leaders of that country.
This week: Argentina
The Church of the Nazarene officially entered Argentina in 1909.
Argentina had a population of 42,610,981 in 2013. That same year, Argentina reported 239 Churches of the Nazarene, 235 of which had been officially organized. Argentina has 15,251 total members.
