Mexico Field leaders elect NYI coordinator, plan education events
Mexico Field, Mesoamerica Region
The Mexico Field gathered January 17 and 18 for ministry meetings filled with the Lord's blessing.
Local Nazarene Youth International leaders elected a new field coordinator, Jesus Alberto Gutiérrez Catalan, who will act as a link between churches and districts, assist local presidents, and facilitate contact between the Nazarene Mexican Seminary Tampico Extension and young people.
Tampico Extension staff met the next day to finalize plans for the 2015 educational calendar. Activities included the start of the Leadership School's February class and the expected graduation of the school's first class.
In the evening, a meeting was held to coordinate a cross cultural orientation for children from the costal and sugarcane areas. Eunice Zaragoza, who led the event organization, was presented that morning at the Tampico First Church of the Nazarene as an approved volunteer missionary for the GENESIS Project. The church celebrated Eunice, who is the church's first missionary. Her assignment will be revealed next month.
