Association of Nazarene Technologists—ministry in motion
Indianapolis

On Saturday, June 25, 2005, at 11:15 a.m. Central Standard Time, the Association of Nazarene Technologists (A.O.N.T.) took the first step in forming a national organization. A group of interested individuals met to elect a steering committee to finalize a mission statement and bylaws for the National Association of Nazarene Technologists. The association is committed to bring those with technology knowledge into the ministry. The association will work through the various ministries of the Church of the Nazarene.

A.O.N.T. initially formed a regional association in the Northwest in September 2004 with the intention of using General Assembly 2005 to launch a national organization. Randy Macbeth, chairman, Northwest A.O.N.T., stated that, “My heart is to see A.O.N.T. connect Nazarene technologists around the world to assist the local and global Nazarene church by leveraging the skills of lay persons and connecting these recourses to the projects and areas of need."
