International School of Evangelism created in Argentina
Bragado
According to Susan McKeithen of the South America (SAM) regional office, an International School of Evangelism is being formed in Argentina. The school's creation “has always been a dream" for SAM Regional Director Bruno Radi. During the summer months of 2005, January and February, Bragado will be the sight of the school. The sessions will run six weeks with capacity for 40 students. Each session will be structured around three days of classroom teaching and four days of practical evangelism in the surrounding cities. Initial preparations include inviting professors, setting up schedules, and receiving applications from those who will come to study. In addition, the building is being finished as well. Tim and Susan McKeithen recently helped to start a new district in the Bragado area, which is in central Argentina.
According to Alissa Monterroso, Field Services Coordinator for JESUS Film Harvest Partners, the JESUS Film will be a part of the Evangelism School. Students will go out on weekends to towns where there are no Nazarene churches and show the JESUS Film. There will also be classes on Evangelism each week as part of the curriculum.
McKeithen said, “Thank you for your prayers and interest. The uniqueness of the school is that students will not only participate in classroom learning, but will be used of God to plant churches on the weekends, in cities that have no Nazarene church."
