There is a window of opportunity that exists when children and adolescents are most likely to be called to full-time ministry—between the ages of 4 and 14. Missiologists refer to this time period as the 4/14 Window. "What you believe at age 13 is pretty much what you're going to die believing," researcher George Barna said in a July 2004 Christianity Today report. The report further stated, "In a 2003 Barna Group nationwide survey of pastors, church staff, and lay leaders, four of five leaders said they participated in church children's programs for a number of years before they turned 13."

General Assembly information expanded on the Web
Kansas City
Friday, May 13, 2005
This week the General Assembly Arrangements Office has greatly expanded the information about General Assembly available on its Web site. Delegates and visitors alike will benefit from the many new features, including registration, a frequently updated calendar of all quadrennial events, and a list of all workshops.

A section of frequently asked questions (FAQs) provides details on a myriad of subjects, including general services, housing, parking, children's activities, wheelchair and scooter rental, languages, shuttle service, food service, and many more.

Links are available to the convention sites for Nazarene Missions International (NMI), Nazarene Youth International (NYI), and Sunday School Ministries. In addition, the One Heart, Many Hands link gives information about the Work & Witness project for Nazarenes coming to Indianapolis. A link to the Indianapolis site informs about the many opportunities available in the city.

The "Latest News" section will be updated periodically to provide the most recent reports on General Assembly activities. Currently, Nazarenes will find information on the many college and university alumni gatherings that will take place during the quadrennial events.

The General Assembly and Conventions take place in Indianapolis June 22—July 1. The official General Assembly Web site may be accessed through www.nazarene.org or at www.nazarenegeneralassembly.com.
