"I am a Product of Sunday School"
Indianapolis
Monday, June 27, 2005
David W. Graves, director of Sunday School Ministries (SSM) and himself a product of Sunday School, highlighted the continuing theme for SSM, "Make the Connection… with Christ, with God's Word, with others, and with mission" during the Saturday evening Sunday School-emphasis service. Graves drove home the importance of Sunday School in the lives of all individuals from childhood through senior adulthood. He also spoke of the impact unique resources such as Prime Time Ministries, Single Adult Ministries, Women's Ministries, Men's Ministries, Family Life Ministries, Continuing Lay Training, and Children's Ministries can have on the church and community. Sunday School continues to be one of the church's most powerful ways to affirm the Word of God as the foundation for living the Christian life. In addition, it is through Sunday School that churches can challenge all ages to be disciples of Jesus Christ and to invite others to do the same.
